Every year, Camp Fire USA Heart of the Hawkeye Council hosts a competition at the great Iowa State Fair. Many boys and girls participated in the Iowa State Fair Camp Fire Competition. Entries were judged in the categories of Art, Photography, Craft, Fabric and Threads, and Baking. Listed below are the Blue Ribbon Winners in their respective categories.

Fall is the perfect time to spend an afternoon at Camp Hantesa's Herman's Ranch.
You will travel by van to Camp Hantesa, located south of Boone. At the
Ranch, you will learn how to groom, saddle and care for a horse. While
on the horse, you will participate in ring activities and games that
teach riding skills. Come for one session or more than one, each time
you saddle up, you will learn more about handling and caring for a
horse.
